Air Pollution Can Increase Heart Problems

Heart attack survivors living within 300 feet (100 meters) of major roads at the time of their heart attack are 27% more likely to die over a ten year period than those who live at least 3200 feet (1000 meters) away from a major road.

Long term exposure to air pollution is known to increase the risk of death from heart disease.
