Aberdeen City Council is promoting a national initiative which alerts when air quality could pose a risk to individuals with heart conditions or breathing problems.
Those who sign up to the free service will receive a text message or e-mail advising them when poor air quality is forecast for the day ahead.
People can subscribe to the free alert service through the Scottish Air Quality website – www.scottishairquality.co.uk. When moderate or worsening air quality is forecast for the day ahead they will receive a text or an email.
