The 24-hour PM2.5 data of Beijing was nearly three times higher than the national standard yesterday, followed by thicker fog today, Xinhua reported Friday.
As of 3 pm yesterday, the 24-hour average of PM2.5 of the capital was up to 203 micrograms per cubic meter, which is three times the national standard.
Yesterday, the capital experienced heavy fog and muggy air in the daytime, the atmospheric visibility was 2 kilometers, and the air quality was rated as “minor pollution.”
