Can we escape urban pollution? Queen Mary, University of London
Professor Jonathan Grigg and his team work at one of the most well respected research institutions in the world. In his introduction here he spells out the impact of urban pollution on our daily lives:
“Along busy roads, car exhausts are releasing an invisible mist of black carbon particles that are inhaled directly into the lungs.” He goes on to say “Providing more information about personal exposure to air pollution, may allow individuals to reduce their own exposure – for example by choosing to commute to work using a low-pollution route.” Professor Grigg and his team are also engaged in research involving pollution masks and there effectiveness in minimizing the amount of air pollutants entering our respiratory systems.
