Temperatures are set to reach an abnormal high during the holiday weekend — and stay there until later this week.
The Memorial Day weekend kicked off with the first heat wave to hit York County this year. Normal temperatures for this time of year, which tend to hang around 78 degrees, wont return until Thursday. The combination of heat and humidity had officials warning residents to be mindful of air quality and heat-related illness while celebrating.
